Finally got some time to show what tiles we have selected. We were waiting for one of the sample tiles to arrive in the mail as when we selected them they didn't have a sample for us to take home. So here goes...
Hello T&L, I've just come across your blog - very usefel - thank-you! I was just having a quick look before heading off to bed. We have signed with PD to build house the same as you! Yippee!!! Was wondering if you could give me the address of the Ferntree Gully Estate that had all the cremorne's in it? I'm having a hard time with bricks as I don't want them to be too dark and make the house stand out. Also, can I ask what changes you made to the WIP? I've asked for shelving to come around to the window and shorten underbench shelf to make room for a bar fridge. Anyway will looking forward to reading your site and I might get one going myself! Thanks for your time. Toni
Hi Toni, the street is called Paringa Drv in Ferntree Gully. It has a few of the Cremorne's in it and the local area is all new which is great for getting ideas. With the WIP we included a 2 door cabinet under the bench, added a lamintae bench top right round and also extended the rear shelves so they were deeper ie: stuck out equally as the top shelf is shallower as std. We thought about a bar fridge and in the end had the under bench shelf meet up with the cabinet and if later on we decide to add a fridge I can always cut a section out. Do you have a blog? Happy to answer any more queries :-) On my Blog I also have links to 2 other couples building the Cremorne 41 you may want to look at as well. Good luck. Tim
Hi Tim, Thanks for the reply and info. Will take a drive out there this week (I'm just in Vermont). I was laying in bed last night thinking that I forgot ask our consultant to make the top shelves in-line with bottom/bench. It's such a great size pantry, shame PD didn't use all the space a bit better. I've asked for shelves to come right around to the window, I plan on keeping alot of stuff in there!
Yes, I've read most of the other blogs, I actually found your blog from Perry's (?) and from there have read most of them. I would like to start my own when I have five mins to spare! I've found alot of useful information from reading the blogs so thank you.
