This one shows how much soil they have had to remove from the upper side of the block and what the retaining wall is going to support. It should make an interesting front garden having the rise in front of the study.
This next one shows the block from the rear. You can see how they have had to build up the alfresco area to be level with the rest of the area.
The picture below is hopefully the main angle we will use to show the gradual construction of the home. (Provided the neighbours across the road don't start building within the next few months)
The girls get really excited when we say that we are going to visit the 'new' house.

Hi Guys,
How exciting!!! I will be watching your build with great excitement! I guess we'll be roughly 2+ months behind you so by watching your house go up I should now how ours will be. You must have been very excited to see the block cut. I'm sure the girls enjoyed the dirt :-) We went out to our block on Saturday and outlined the house with line marking paint so that the kids could get a better idea. It seems our block wasn't correctly sited and we have a little bit more room on the side which is great. I've created my blog too. All the best, Toni.
Hi Toni, Checked out your post. Very impressed with you knocking on that guy's door to find out his colours. I was also amazed how fast you left a comment on our site after I had posted!!
You must feel more comfortable having visited Hoptoun now and I'm glad the FTG address payed off too.
Another Cremorne on the go. Awesome! Congrats on the early start.
Hi, another one building with PD! You guys have been very lucky - after charging us for not starting in Dec (we would have loved to, but had to get through Town Planning), PD delayed us by 6 weeks. They kept giving us a start date, then pushing it back. Anyway, we are 1 week ahead of you (different house), and they were starting slab prep, steel bars and waffle pods were delivered today. If you look at some of the other blogs, once they get going on these houses, they seem to really fly along! All very exciting, isn't it? I never thought I'd be excited by the sight of white pipes sticking up from a pile of dirt, but it's happened! All the best, and I'll be watching with interest!
Oh, I forgot to say - your girls are sooo cute - love the photo up the top....wish mine were taht little again!!!:(
Thanks Petal - we think they are too :-)
